Another Adoption...
Picture1.jpgWe praise the Lord for our latest adoption. Amos who is 7 years old joined his new family in North Carolina, Brian & Erin Kiser. After lots of obstacles the Lord open the doors for the adoption to go through. Please pray for his transition into a new culture and for a smooth adjustment to all the changes happening in Amos’s life. Amos in the picture with his new brother, Cole and sister Elyse.

ClinicOUR CLINIC IS OFICIALLY REGISTERED – We praise the Lord for having our clinic finally registered. With this we are able to benefit from some of the free programs that the government offers to registered clinics. We have already received around $3,000 worth of Coartem drug (approx. 360 doses). This is a very effective drug used to treat malaria but it is also very expensive. We praise the Lord for not just moving mightily to get our clinic registered but for the provision of this drug and that we now can start availing of this valuable resource. Malaria is one of the most common illnesses that threaten not only the lives of our children, staff and missionaries but also the villagers who daily are at the door of our clinic seeking help.

Waswa and KatoWaswa and Kato have arrived at GSF. Their mom passed away and their dad just could not care for the two ten months old twins. The babies came very malnourished and sick but have recovered and are doing wonderfully. We have agreed through the probation department to take these two precious babies for one year and then revisit the situation. Dad has come to visit and see the babies which is very encouraging. Please pray not only for the twins but that GSF will also be a light to their father.

making improvements to our guest house Teams visiting GSF - this summer we were blessed with 2 visiting teams. One from, Grace Community Church, in North Caroline. They spent their time ministering to our children and the villagers by offering medical and dental care but also making improvements to our guest house. We thank them for their hard work and the love and encouragement that they shared during their time with us.

resort in JinjaVillage Baptist from North Caroline visited us this year once again and this year they focused on ministering to our foster mothers, equipping and encouraging them to continue in their faithful labor helping to raise up the children at GSF. They took out the women for a two day break away to a resort in Jinja. The reports of this time of ministry and fellowship were awesome. They also had few days of VBS for the kids and had a busy day offering a clinic to the near villages. Our friends from Village Baptist have been faithful visitors of GSF and we have been blessed with their yearly visits for the past 10 years. Thanks once again for your hard labor and for shinning the love of Jesus to all of us.

Babies HomeConstruction has started on GSF’s Babies Home and we rejoice that one day this home will become the home for many little ones. This home will house not only all premature babies but also newborns babies to children 3-4 years old. At the age of 4 they will be placed in the family units. The environment of the babies’ home will be sensitive to these ages and the home will be set up to make it appropriate for these ages. Keeping them in this setting will be safer for them and more conducive to their healthy development. Please join us in praying not just for the provision of funds to finish this project, but for all the needs furnishing the home and a monthly budget to keep up with the monthly expenses of the home, as well for the Lord to raise up women with a heart like God’s heart for these precious lives.

Children HouseHard work went on during school holidays getting the children’s houses fixed up and painted. Some of the older children were involved in this much needed project. Children HouseWe were blessed with extra donations to provide for each house a new set of furniture for their living room. Mosquito nets have been placed in all of the children’s beds to reduce malaria from spreading among our children. Big thanks to all of you who made this possible.

Pray for the expansion of our Primary School - we have over 100 kids from the community coming to our school. Some are given full scholarships based on need as well as our employees’ children. We have a captive audience to share the gospel every day.

Pray for laborers to come a serve full time at GSF - the needs are great and many
